We had such a great time doing our two weekend tours this month! We played wildly different venues, sat in with some amazing acts and made a bunch of new friends...oh yeah and ate a ton of amazing food!

Thanks for having us on OS Grid Ellen Olhsson and letting us jam with you inside of the wild west of second life. Western High School (Baltimore) tore it up at Springwater in Nashville! Thanks for setting that up, Mr. Sad Spaceman himself, Jay. Thanks Pat Carney of the Black Keys for hipping us to the new arcade in town.

Got to hang with all of our friends from Ithaca College and Annapolis at Shillelagh in Queens. Lost our voices talking to Seth, Jake, Wes, Ethan, Jessie, Emily. Had a blast sitting in with Will Shish. Dingonek Street Band band was so much fun! Thanks to our pal Andrew for showing us all the best bagel, beer, and doughnut spots in the city!

Had a wild night at the Chubby Pickle in Highlands, NJ. Super nice to meet a bunch of talented and genuine folks: Chris Dubrow, Avery, Matt, Gabe, Tiffany, Abby, Matthew, Noah Rauchwerk.

Made lovely sadboy music for a set with Jon Kohen of Granite to Glass fame at Sidewalk tavern in Manhattan. Thanks for hosting us Elisa, Hanna, Noel, Rob!

Thanks to Erin for driving us safely through the icy slush mess to get us to Connecticut while Ahren feverishly wrote out a trombone parts in Finale trying to pretend like we were'nt about to die...oh yeah- We got to play a song with the insanely talented Italian Trombone Quartet (Quartetto Italiano di Tromboni) and did a little masterclass too at Hartford University. 420 SPECIAL 2018

WHEN/ Each day starting today(4/20) until my birthday (4/30). 10 days.

WHAT/ We're doing $420 day paintings (10-12 hrs) for all those interested in or who inquired about more affordable works.

THIS YEAR'S THEME/ Places I Want To Be / Landscape

SAY WHA?/ You know that place on the planet you always wish you were? Well let’s manifest it where you are. It takes a little courage. See it. Picture it…a window on your wall right now. We’re looking through it. Where are we? Beach, Mountains, Tahoe, Prague, Paris? Bowling alley?

RULES / None really. Be brave. Be bold. Let go. Yes it will be awesome. We’re working from photo, so quality of scene comes into play in the photo you choose. You can tell me things you want to change. With a fixed time frame, more complex photos will have simpler compositions. The goal is to make a great painting as opposed to just copying a photo. There will be plenty of poetic license taken, in a very good way.

HOW TO/ Simply send us a photo of the Place You’d Like To Be along with anything else you think relevant into a fb message or to rodger(at)ymail.com. Title it “420 2018”. Then let go... we got the rest and will get right back to you. Congrats.
